Are U Listening?

When it comes to key stakeholders and what they are trying to say, are U a passive or an active listener? Studies show that passive listening results in an information absorption rate of only 20 – 30%.

That is a lot of information falling on deaf ears (pun intended) – not to mention an inefficient use of time and opportunity, as well as an annoying habit. Active listening includes listening with ears AND eyes. It also means being aware of personal filters that may hinder U from truly understanding what’s being said. Sure, it’s a big, busy world out there – but making and taking the time to listen will never be a waste of time.
