A Bright and Bold Future

A campaign launch weekend to signal Loyola’s vision of becoming the nation’s leading Catholic comprehensive university.

The Bright Minds, Bold Hearts campaign ushered in a new era in the history of Loyola University Maryland. A full weekend of events presented multiple opportunities to tell a renewed story of Loyola while inviting members of its community to become active authors of the next chapter. During an intimate and elegant evening, a cadre of special guests came together to re-experience the university’s distinctive sense of community and celebrate Loyola’s achievements along its path to becoming the nation’s leading Catholic comprehensive university.

With a national vision and reputation, Loyola University Maryland wanted to use its campaign kick-off to convey a cohesive picture of the university while allowing individual components to shine and deliver the messages and themes of the campaign in ways that lead to action. Programming needed to create a sense of pride and accomplishment as a community and launch a renewed, lasting perception of the university for those closest to it.

A progressive experience led guests on a journey through Loyola’s past to its bright and bold future, highlighting shared moments of nostalgia, pride, and inspiration. The primary campaign messaging of “Prepare,” “Strengthen,” and “Excel” was incorporated into every aspect of the gala evening. Interactive vignettes staffed by faculty and students brought the nine campaign priorities to life and helped attendees answer the question, “What if there was more support?” Guests left as informed ambassadors of the campaign with a deep understanding of the role that private philanthropy has and will play in Loyola’s ascendance.
